Man arrested in connection with the stabbing of a teenager in Limerick city

A MAN in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a teenage boy in Limerick city.
Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred on Parnell Street, Limerick on Friday evening, June 12, 2026.
The man is his 30s is currently being detained at a garda station in Limerick under the provisions of section four of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Following the attack, the teenage boy was taken to University Hospital Limerick to treat his injuries.

Gardaí previously said in a statement that the boy’s injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
Gardaí have commented that investigations into the stabbing are ongoing.
