Portnablagh swim shelter may be relocated after flooding - Donegal News

THE swim shelter at Portnablagh beach may be relocated after it was tilted over due to flooding.
The “Dippers Den” became unstable after flooding on Sunday night caused a trench of water to form underneath, tilting it from its spot on the beach.
Local councillor Michael McClafferty said the matter has been raised to Donegal County Council.
“I have spoken with the relevant section of the Council regarding beaches and they have informed me that matters are in hand and it will be set upright again very soon in the very near future and possibly relocated from its current location,” he said.
The swim shelter was launched last year by Dunfanaghy Dippers swimming club.
The project was delivered by Donegal Sports Partnership (DSP) through Sport Ireland’s Swimming Infrastructure Fund.
