The programme will include events focused on climate awareness and practical action, with communities, businesses and organisations across Clare invited to take part.
Activities will cover areas including energy upgrades, the circular economy, sustainable gardening, sustainable transport and community action.
Events will be held in libraries and other venues around the county, with one event taking place online via Zoom.
Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council Cllr Joe Killeen (FF) said he was delighted to see the event return for a second year.
“The success of last year’s programme demonstrated the enthusiasm and commitment that exists across our communities,” he said.
“This week is an opportunity to showcase local climate action, inspire new ideas, and encourage everyone to play their part in creating a more sustainable future for County Clare.”
Senior Engineer in Climate Action, Environment and Water Services with Clare County Council Anne O’Sullivan said Climate Action Week would help people understand that climate action could begin at home and within local communities.
“Through a wide range of events and activities, we hope to inspire practical actions that can make a real difference for our environment and quality of life,” she said.
Senior Executive Engineer and Climate Action Coordinator with Clare County Council Ann Cronin said the programme would provide opportunities for people to learn and share experiences.
“The strength of Climate Action Week lies in its ability to bring people together,” she said.
“Whether you are interested in energy upgrades, circular economy, sustainable gardening, sustainable transport or community action, the week provides opportunities to learn, share experiences and be part of positive change.”
Further information on the events is available through Clare County Council’s Climate Action Plan webpage.
