The Minister of State for Mental Health says she is aware of mental health challenges in Kerry and says increased services are needed for rural Ireland.

Mary Butler gave the keynote address at the first rural mental health conference in Newmarket, Co.Cork, which was organised by IRD Duhallow.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of State Butler said she was aware of the recent rise in suicide in Kerry:
