A MAN accused of breaching a barring order has been remanded on continuing bail.

The accused, who is in his 40s, appeared at Letterkenny District Court.

The Donegal man has been charged in relation to an incident that allegedly took place in Donegal last week.

The charge of breaching a barring order is contrary to Section 33 (1) Domestic Violence Act, 2018.

Gardaí gave evidence of his arrest, charge and caution by way of schedule.

Garda Sergeant Maurice Doyle told the court that the State had no objections to bail, but requested a number of conditions.

Judge Emile Daly ordered that the defendant make no contact of any means with the alleged injured party or witnesses.

He must commit no further offences and must be of good behaviour.

He has also been ordered to remain intoxicant free and to be contactable to gardaí at all times.

He was remanded on bail and is due to be back in court in December.
