No update on car parking upgrade at Athlone train station | Westmeath Independent

Athlone-Moate Municipal District is awaiting an update on plans from Iarnrod Éireann on plans to upgrade the car park at Athlone train station.
Responding to a question raised by Cllr John Dolan at the March meeting of the District, the local authority executive confirmed that "no update had been received since 2024".
"At the time the District were informed by Iarnrod Éireann that they intended to commence preliminary design for car parking upgrade works at the location.
"The District will correspond again on this matter," a District spokesperson said.
