Outdoor gym equipment could be on the way for one County Kildare region.
Kildare County Council (KCC) said that it would consider installing the equipment during the latest Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District meeting, which took place on Wednesday, June 17 last.

The topic arose when Fine Gael Cllr Peggy O’Dwyer submitted the following question to KCC: “Can KCC confirm if it has considered outdoor recreation gym type equipment as part of the Masterplan at Lakeside Park in Newbridge, similar to what is in place around the lakes in Naas?”
In response to her query, KCC confirmed via the report it presented at the meeting that the inclusion of outdoor gym equipment will be considered as part of the masterplan.
“This was reflected in the Public Consultation Survey undertaken by KCC from December 2025 to January 2026,” KCC added.
